I want to say a special thanks to our photopgraphers on our day, they were amazing and I highly recommend them! The pictures are perfect in every way, more than I could ever imagine them to be and we are so glad we got the opportunity to work with these professionals.

I'm sorry for the lack of updates, honeymooning a bit.. and I haven't really digest all the impressions from that awesome day yet. It really was the best day of my life, I find it hard to describe the feeling and the emotions that day! And to have all your friends and family gathered to celebrate our love, touched me to the core.. I am forever grateful. We are now Husband and Wife, and I couldn't be happier!!!

There will be more blogposts soon, I just want to look at all the pictures from the day. I need to process the memories, before I start explaining the preparations and the events of the day. But for now we will just enjoy, remember, treasure and relax.. I love that we have a "forever-ever-ever" to look forward to, me and my gorgeous new husband.

White DIP DIY Cones

Before christmas I dipped some cones in a bucket of white leftover paint, and the result is super decorative. Have tried something similar before, but that time it involved glue and pearls/beads around the cones. The end result of that, wasn't that good.. so I'm working on perfecting it!
But back to my Dip DIY cones, super easy! Just take some iron thread and stick it in the cone, dip it in the color, let it drip and then when it's not dripping as much - move it to a spot where it can hang for a while, preferably with something covering up the surface underneath. I my case, I hung them for a while on a chair with a lot of old papers underneath, as protection. I let them hang there for a couple of hours, then I pulled out the iron thread and just covered up the holes it left, with some brush strokes of paint.
Before and during Christmas and New Year's, I used cones that I had colored the same way, in bouquets and decorations. With the paint being a bit shiny, it made a great contrast to several of the flowers and greens that I used. (Unfortunately, I never took any pictures of it.. didn't have the time.)
Right now I'm enjoying tulips at home, as should you. Don't forget tomorrow is "Tulip Day", so go get yourself some crisp fresh tulips. Perfect for filling that void, now when all those Christmas decorations has disappeared once more..

Guestblogger at Nordic Living!

Check out my piece on the importance of color, breaking habits and doing things we really want to - especially this time a year! It's the perfect time for accomplishing your goals. Guestblogging at the great source of inspiration, one of my favourite blogs

- NORDIC LIVING tomorrow, 4th of December!

And while you're at it, remember to browse their online store, Nordic Design Collective for design goodies! Maybe you'll find some Christmas gifts or the perfect decorations.. for yourself or someone else?? Their selection of cards are beautiful and fun! Or create your own, with their cute stamps!? I'm loving the one called "Ekollon" (Acorn - in English), that's definitely my favourite. Perfect for making small cards and putting them as a finishing touch, while gift wrapping.

For the moment, I'm coloring up for the jolly season ahead!

Wedding Invitation

Here you have them, our wedding invitations by yours truly. They have been sent out, a while ago, but it took some hours to finalize it all. Drawing, coloring, composing, typing, cutting, arranging, rearranging, glueing, writing.. that is what they call D-I-Y, my friends! A bit old school, with our grey and greens-theme(as the rest of the wedding decor). Also the hearts and pretty snowflakes in the pattern, to go with the chosen season for the event. It's getting closer, in a few days - it will be just 3 months left..!!

Great Grandma's Cloth

I'm really into old table cloths for the moment(not all types though, not you're typical floral and over-decorated ones..). I want them crochet in bright colours or my favourite for the time being, soft colour tones with some sparkle thread in it..! Perfect for autumn and winter!

My mother is really good at crochet and knitting, super creative. As was my grandmother, and her mother and generations before.. Unfortunatelly it stopped with me, I never really learned it properly. It's not too late to learn it yet, I know, and I really would like to. I have done it with metal thread a few times, with different results.
But I guess I get a bit lazy because I get provided for with various knits and nice things, by my lovely mother. My latest "order", two big and round table cloths - crochet in black and grey! A lot of people have white as their "safe colour" at home and in interior design, I love black! Can't wait until it's finished..! Another order has been placed as well, (not to my mother).. bridal gown and bridesmaid dresses are in the making! But it will take a few weeks before they're ready.

Simply green

Sometimes a little green touch, can do so much. This little fellow will probably survive as eye-candy, without water for weeks. Yes..the plant from where it's coming from, is that good! A real calm to the guilty conscience, when you decide to go on vacation. And speaking about vacation, I left for three weeks and nearly drowned my orchids before leaving. They were really dry, when we came back. But I think they needed that soaked boost! Now each and every plant has new buds and flowers on the way.. so shock and ignorance is the key!

Formex AutumnWinter2013 - Inspo Kick!

Before the vacation I went with the staff from the flower shop to Formex 2013 - inspiration for Autumn/Winter. What a boost! Saw a lot of pretty, pretty things and went straight away home later that day.. started to move around things, redecorating and then I sat down for some drawing time. Love the feeling of inspiration!

Time flies..

When you're having fun!! Sorry for my lack of updates..! I've been busy with wedding planning, work, training, started a French course(don't know what I was thinking but I'll do my best..!) and also it was time for some VACATION in the middle of all that! Have been living too well, these couple of weeks.. So those earlier weeks of training just said "POOF!" and I think I have to start all over again, start to pay again in sweat.. well, well.. It was worth it!

Went to Corsica for a week, back to where it all begun.. the love story.. :D I love that beautiful island, when we arrived it felt like no time had passed. It felt like home.
Ate the world's best pizza every single day at lunchtime, my one and only "Dame Blanche" at La Crêperie, in Île Rousse where we stayed. I've missed that pizza for six loooong years! Best served with lots of chili oil on it and a great big Pietra(Corsican chestnut beer) on the side.. Mmm.. We had wonderful warm weather, met some old and some new friends. Drank sangria and a whole lot of rosé wine!
And here's a treat! We tried climbing outdoors for the first time, what a rush! I'm definitely hooked, have already been checking out equipment and possibilities for climbing in Copenhagen. (So I'm prepared to get started, when we move there.)
The week afterwards, we spent in Denmark. Went to Odense(home town of the beloved writer H.C.Andersen) and of course, Copenhagen. A super great week as well, but a bit more exhausting with a more packed schedule than the week before. I'll post some pictures from the vacation during this week, I promise!

We started our homecoming with birthday celebrations.. my fiancée had his birthday last week. I made it my mission to make a chocolate/blueberry birthday cake with merengue inside. It didn't look the best(loving the colour palette though), the chocolate layering got a bit out of controll. But it tasted really good..if I may say so myself!! Speaking about cakes, have to decide what the wedding cake should taste like soon. We have decided on the outside and found the person/company to bake it. We just have to try some different flavour combinations, then we're all set. (Tips on tasty combos are welcomed!)

Also got some flowers from visiting birthday guests this weekend.. I bought him a Chili plant, it's called 'Basket of Fire'. He's or we've been looking for some good hot chili peppers to use, so he can make us our own chili oil here at home. I found this plant(and YES it is hot, hot, hot..!) the day of his birthday and it felt like a sign to buy it. I'll do a separate post later, so you can see the new plant in our appartment! Ahh, the benefits of living together and be able to enjoy someone else's birthday presents!!

Bridal Bouquets.. so much inspiration!

I've narrowed it down to these lovely bouquets.. to be the inspiration for my own bouquet on the big day. I collected them on Pinterest, so I knew I would remember them.
I'm not sure on the colour or the final flowers yet. Our wedding will have grey and lime/green as the theme colours. I would like some lime/greens in the bridal bouquet, as well in the corsage/boutonnieres for the men. Of course the ribbon used on the handle/also hanging down - should be grey, with maybe a little bit of silver shimmer in it.
But this one below is really one of my favourite ones.. with perfect flowers for the winter season. That's good to think about! Or else your wedding flowers might end up costing you a fortune and the qualite of the flowers may be poor if it's not the right season for them. If you're in doubt, talk with a florist - they should know what's best!
