This semester, in school, I'm working with my own project. Focusing a lot on prints, patterns and digital design. Testing different techniques and doing a lot of research for the moment. Gathering images and links on Pinterest that helps me in this project. Although you can't see that board on my profile, love the fact that you can have "Secret Boards"!
Also, I'm keeping an organized chaos here at home as well. Something I haven't really liked or allowed myself before.. But after watching the documentary on Karl Lagerfeld, I've been persuaded that it can be worth trying sometimes(and of course, to a limit!). Apparently, it can lead to greatness if you look at his lifestyle and success, that incredible man. So I'm willing to try it out, a while longer.. haha..
So I'm sorry if I haven't been showing that much of my work recently, but there's just bits and pieces of ideas in this stage. (For the moment I'm using every table and desk in the appartment, with different projects.. I've turned my appartment into a workshop!)
But soon I will have things to show, have been really inspired lately (I have learned some good ways on how to get/stay inspired, that I want to share with you. For times when/if you're stuck and in lack of inspiration, to be creative or just to stay motivated - the tips on that will come in an upcoming post!).

Ok, I know there's been a lot of tulips lately.. I just can't help it! They're just so fresh, beautiful and crisp this time a year. And there's nothing wrong with getting that spring feeling early on, and make it last for as long as possible. Right? I think so. So this week, I went for a nice and soft pink-apricot coloured tulip and cut them down short.

For the moment I'm part of a long distance relationship. And today it's all work-work for me. On this particular day, it always have been! So I/we've never really celebrated this particular day much. We focus on everyday-appreciation instead! :D But it's always sweet with people giving some extra attention to their loved ones, and I'm all for that!
I do miss him a whole lot more, today.. of course, with constant reminders everywhere you turn.
But lucky me, I got this beautiful drawing from my favourite girl. Obviously this is the perfect way to charm me! (It's from the daughter of one of my best friends) I put it on the fridge, so I'll start every day by looking at it! Now that's what I call a good reminder! Now, I'm ready to sell in the name of Love! (And also, I'm waiting tables/lovey-dovey couples later in the evening..so I think I'll deserve a sleep-in after this!)
Have a lovely Valentine's Day!

Some intense days this week! A lot of preparations and productive time, spent in the flower shop. Preparing for Valentine's day of course. I can insure you that I'm filling up with the appropriate amount of heart-shaped sweets to get that extra energy boost..! (stupid, maybe..but I'll work out after the 14th, haha..)
As told before, I'm not that into the typical classic red rose bouquet with white gypsophila.. Don't get me wrong, I love the classical colouring for "love/passion" and the rose as a symbol. But I like to think that it's more of a challenge for me to try to combine the old with the new or even with something completely different. Well, it's going to be a long day tomorrow.. so off to bed, it is!

With Valentine's around the corner.. shops always get overfilled with "L'amour-Tips & Gifts". Especially and obviously, the flower shops are have to be in the lead for this particular holiday, haha.. I got these amazing so called Romantica Tulips(not the name of the tulips, just of the mixed package of different tulips), packed with great red and pink tones. Absolutely adore this colour combination, and have spread them in different vases all around the appartment. The best thing is also that they're locally produced, something you always should try to find, support and weigh in - when choosing your flowers.

I came across a really tasty and good wine, when a friend visited early this week.. Mmm.. Made from organic grapes(of course!), from Chile. Usually I prefer wines from Italy, especially Sicily.
This was a light yet fruity red wine, so it was perfect for some cozy mingle with some light food and snacks. Nice smooth and round flavours, and a beautiful and simple bottle. It really appealed to me. Maybe it's dumb, but if the bottle's design and label isn't pleasing for my eyes.. if I don't like it, I won't choose it! Would you..?
I've really made it my mission to pick an organic wine, every time I buy a bottle. To try the different/new ones and to increase the demand on the market for organically produced. And it's really paying off, have found a lot of great and now some of my favourite wines.

I love globes in all kind of colours and styles. Although I have had a problem making up my mind on which one I want, to many choices. I needed someone to take the decision for me. Thanks, hon'..! This one is perfect for me, us and the appartment.
Also the other day, I went with the girls in the flower shop on a inspirations day/evening. Just to get some fresh ideas and inspiration for Valentine's and the upcoming season, the desired spring. After that I just had to buy some fresh flowers to take home with me. Got this perfect branch to put in the window, Chaenomelis. It's called "Rosenkvitten" in Swedish.
Now it's just standing there as a warm reminder of what's to come, against the snowy outdoors.

How wonderful it is to receive an unexpected gift, or a beautiful card/greeting in the mail! I was fortunate to get both yesterday. Especially to get a gift and card, that really is perfect for me - my personality (I love these cards as you proably know by now. And owls, don't get me started on my owl-fascination.. haha). It really touched me, really flattering.. This made my day, week and month, if not longer!
Remember to appreciate your near and dear ones.
I just hope I'm as good at it, as my friends and family are.
It made me a happy, happy camper. :)
