What? You thought I meant something else..?!
Share this cool guy and make everyone you know sign the petition to save the Arctic.
Shell has put their plans on ice for the moment, perfect timing for us to make the Arctic into a sanctuary so it'll never be harmed..!

Metal knitting

I have never been much for knitting, but my mother is really good at it. So a couple of years ago I asked her to help me, teach me. But to her surprise not with your ordinary yarn. I wanted to use metal threads in variations.. Ok, she said with a questioning expression on her face. Then when she saw the result she agreed with me.
Look how decorative this knitted cover with pearls and beads, is for a pot. You can also do it for vases, jars, candle holders and so on.. Or maybe a fun detail or way to wrap a gift.

Of course an autumn favorite, as always, is the sturdy Calluna. I think it's called Scotch Heather in English, Ljung in Swedish. It's best suited for the outdoors but you can have it indoors as well. Easy to decorate with and also to make a wreath out of it.

Solar Energy

This is an ad here in Sweden right now for an energy company, focused on sustainable solutions. In the end the text is: "Haven't changed to solar energy yet? Telge Energy - Make a difference now" I love it, in your face!! And with this one I wish you a wonderful Sunday!
(We don't use this energy company in particular at home, but we use another sustainable choice of course. But with such a brilliant ad, it almost makes you want to change.)

Wild Thing!

Here's the wild orchide I talked about earlier and it certainly lives up to the name! A real multiflora, can't even count the buds and blossoms. And the branches grows freely and wide in all directions.

Day Off!

Had a day off today.. It was a beautiful sunny autumn day. No school, no work.. just doing things in our own time. Went training, some shopping.. Went for a walk and then tried a new small soup restaurant in town, that was awesome! Finished the evening with a smashed coconut and some tea (vanilla/tropical fruit flavoured), yummy..!

Divine scent

My parents visited this weekend and gave me the last bouquet of Lathyrus odoratus, (it's called Sweet Pea in English and Luktärt in Swedish) from their garden. So now a wonderful scent has spread in the appartment. They also gave us an amazing white and wild Orchide, I'll show more of that one later.

Feeling very excited about the engagement by the way.. he caught me off guard, I'll say! And it took a few days for it to really sink in, but now I can't wait to get started with the planning. Already bought a binder so I/we (don't worry, I'm not going to be a "Bridezilla" haha..I just love to organize!) can collect ideas and inspiration for the big day.

Pinterest - my new addiction!

Pinterest, what a wonderful idea! To be able to arrange all ideas, inspiration and links you find on the net in one place is so clever and effective. And addictive..! I can sometimes get stuck for hours, and it never feels like waste of time.. With this website and the app - inspiration is always close at hand.

Collect the Flowers

A friend taught me how to play Mahjong, and it's a lovely way of spending time with friends.. It will be perfect for Autumn evenings, maybe with some good wine and company. It's fun to learn a new game!
But instead of wanting to win, I just find myself wanting to collect ALL the flowers.. I wonder why that is, haha.. Because they're the best and prettiest pieces of course..!? ;)
